This years 15 outstanding finalists were selected from a great number of nominations in the 2011 Queensland Regional Achievement and Community Awards.
The Awards Program is presented by WIN Television and recognises the achievements of individuals, communities, environment and Landcare initiatives, businesses and employment , event and tourism projects in regional and rural Queensland.
This year’s 3 finalists in each category are:

A Montessori Educational Childcare, Early Learning & Kindergarten is a leading educational centre which employ from a large cross section of the community to ensure that their children have access to understanding and tolerance to all those in the community. The Centre focuses on being a first class learning enterprise not only for the children, but for the staff. The Centre accommodate staff special needs and offers flexibility, which is assessed on a case by case basis, they believe “happy staff - happy home away from home, for little people”. The Centre work with staff strengths and provide opportunities for all staff to develop skills through ongoing training programs and initiatives. The Centre will continue to support trainees and work experience students and offer an innovative training environment for staff.
